This blog is dedicated to the issues, processes and ideas that concern Assistant Directors (1st ADs, 2nd ADs and 2nd 2nd ADs) and Unit Production Managers.  In addition, this blog aims to be a resource for those who are wanting to work as an AD or UPM and could use a few extra resources along the way. We hope that you will find new tools, ideas and templates that will be useful in your film-making journey.

About the Author

Brandon Riley started out in the entertainment industry working as an Assistant Director and later joined the DGA and PGA. With a vast knowledge of how a set operates and functions, Brandon has since gone on to Produce, Line Produce and UPM Features and TV projects. Brandon is a natural born leader who aims to manage every show in a calm assertive manner. 

A graduate of the University of North Texas with a degree in Film and Philosophy, Brandon brings a wealth of creativity, passion and experience to any set.

When Brandon is not working on a set, he stays busy as the President of Radiant First Productions currently developing a slate of films for production.
